All permissions vanished

I may have found a flaw in Weave syncing. Syncing seemed to work perfectly until a day or so ago when I let Firefox Mobile sync. When that happened all of a sudden all of my permissions vanished. Don't know if it is because of Firefox Mobile or what but thats seems to be the only change I made. This is using the latest development build. Also, Is there any way to get those permissions back? I still show the noscript bookmark but noscript isn't using it.

Not sure if this might help but you could have a look in the "weave" folder in your profile directory ("about:support" → "Open Containing Folder").

It just came to my mind that since you have bookmark syncing active you might be able to restore it from the bookmark backups: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Los ... rk_backups

All of my whitelist changes disappeared recently too. I also have Sync backups enabled, and the Noscript bookmark does contain all of my changes, but I'm not sure how to reimport them into Noscript, since it doesn't seem to be doing it automatically.

NoScript 2.1.0.1rc1 recently got installed as an update yesterday, maybe something related to that?

To be clear, I did add a new sync device yesterday, and THEN Noscript's whitelist screwed up in my primary profile.
The new device did not have NoScript installed, if that matters.



EDIT: I was able to pull out my original whitelist from the Noscript bookmark by going into the bookmark's properties, copying the description over to a text file, and trimming out everything but the whitelist section of the JSON data, then putting each domain onto its own line, then importing that from NoScript.

I managed to copy the blacklist section and overwrite the about:config setting as well as import the whitelist from the bookmark back into Noscript so thanks for the tip. For now I have just disabled syncing of Settings to stop the problem from occurring again.

Once you did that did the settings disappear again when you resynced? I want to sync but not if it's going to make my settings disappear every time.

Sync depends on which data is stored in the cloud and how old it is.
If you just imported the configuration and you sync, the new configuration will be sent to the cloud and on next sync all your devices will have the same permissions/settings.
If you're not confident, you can still try after using the "Export" button to make a configuration backup.

Oh yeah. Forgot about the export button. I will try that.
