[RESOLVED] ABE + iPlayer

Post by swaldman »

Hi.

I don't know if anybody here is in the UK, and thus able to access the BBC's iPlayer service (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iPlayer).
I've found that ABE prevents the "Favourites" feature from working. I've tried to set rules around this but failed, probably due to my not understanding how the rules work, so for now I have ABE turned off on my desktop. (It was already turned off on my laptop since it broke the vast majority of wifi hotspots...)

Can anybody more clueful than me tell me what I need to put in the rules for iPlayer's favourites to work?

Thanks

Could you show me the message line starting with [ABE] which you should get when this happens?

Oh, interesting. No [ABE] line, but I get this in the error console:

[NoScript XSS] xss.reason.[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIURI.host]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://noscript/content/ABE.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 1400" data: no] --- undefined

You're using an old NoScript version.
Please upgrade and recheck.

Bah. Stupid. Sorry for that - Firefox is usually so good at telling me about updates, I didn't think to check...

Thanks for being helpful anyway, and for the extension in general :-)
