I'm having problems with the FlashGot in the linux version of firefox.
The firefox freezes when I access any site that uses java applications. However, it does not freeze when the FlashGot is disabled.
For example: https://www2.bancobrasil.com.br/aapf/lo ... m&perfil=1
The above example is the website of a Brazilian Bank (Bank of Brazil) and uses Java to garantee acess secure to their services.
I've updated the jre / java to the latest version (jre 1.6.23) but the problem persists.
Interestingly, in the windows version of Firefox this problem does not occur.
My system:
Operating System: Linux - Debian Lenny amd64 5.0 (windows 7 - professional in dual boot)
CPU: Athlon 64 X2 5000 + AM2 +
Memory: 2Gb DDR2
HD: 500GB SATA (windows) + 80GB SATA (Linux)
Thank you.
Eduardo

I'll second this. Seemed to start with the latest update.

Thanks for your reply.
Ok, I updated the FlashGot to the last version (1.2.8.1) but did not work.
The firefox (linux version only) keeps freezing on websites with java applets.
I think there is any option in Flashgot settings that solves this problem, but I'm not finding it.
Do you have more any idea?
ops! Sorry for my bad English. I am a brazilian and do not speak english very well.

Does it happen with every Java applet?
Wild guess - does it persist if you turn the flashgot.media.enabled about:config preference to false?

BTW, I just tried on Lucid with Sun Java and the Iced Tea plugin, and it works fine with FlashGot Media enabled.
Could you try Standard Diagnostic?

Re: Flashgot + Java aplication = linux firefox freeze
I am also experiencing this problem (on Kubuntu 11.04). With FlashGot enabled, trying to download a YouTube video with KeepVid.com while accessing my account on www.associatedbank.com will freeze Firefox every time I try. I have even tried this with FlashGot as the *only* plugin enabled. When FlashGot is disabled, I am unable to get Firefox to freeze.
Is there any hope for a solution to this problem?
