Button icons missing in public forum...
Re: Button icons missing in public forum...
I've disabled all of my extensions (for a different reason), and the buttons are there.
Where do I set how many posts are visible per page?

Add them back in one at a time & lets see if we can figure where the problem lies

I'm glad the both of you are having so much pleasure with my displeasure!
Thanks a lot! Some friends you are...

Edit: I guess I should have started out by adding NoScript back first. Well I forgot to do that.
Edit: Ok. I've now enabled NoScript. I have my buttons active. So none of the extensions I installed before have blocked me from seeing them. Now I just have 56 extensions left to install.

Any time I use a smiley in a post, it means I'm most likely speaking in jest. It's ok. I didn't mean for either of you to take it seriously. And I knew that you were really concerned, simply by how much you've been tracking this issue. So all is well here!

I'm having trouble with another site, where payments must be made. The problem is with unlisted javascript sites which control the transaction. The sites only show up during page load, and then disappear. Do I need to start a new topic?

You could start a new topic or you can tell us what you got and what the site is and we can debug and if it turns out to be a unique or useful issue to be independent, we can split it for you later. Entirely up to you buddy, good to hear from you again.

Re: Button icons missing in public forum...
The site is https://www.comcast.com/Customers/Membe ... count.ashx
They have another site which is involved here called, https://comcast.convergentcare.com
Although you won't be able to see that page unless you have an account there. So you likely won't be able to do anything with it. What really needs to happen, is for NoScript to have placeholders on a page where javascript would be executed for images and the like. Currently, I think only links are displayed. But you could be missing things like buttons, and never even know it.
Secondly, there could be a log of sites that were processed during the loading of a page. The Veritas site is one that I can think of. It's used for the processing of credit cards. It never shows up on the page that was processed. It only appears while the transaction is in progress.

This is what I mean about not having place holders to show what's missing on a page.
[IMG=http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/314/katumishap.th.jpg]
What you're left with is nothing but blank spaces. And notice how the page isn't properly rendered. Blocks overlap one another.

Ok, I can see on that page that even allowing the site, the "tabs" on the top do not function, not sure why that is yet.Shingoshi wrote:The site is https://www.comcast.com/Customers/Membe ... count.ashx

Yeah I have seen the rendering thing happen too but I have found that unchecking "Collapse blocked elements" will fix the rendering and LOOK issue at least, assuming its not an ABP blocked item or hidden element.Shingoshi wrote:This is what I mean about not having place holders to show what's missing on a page.

Ah, I checked. I didn't have "Collapse blocked elements" checked. It was never set.
And I don't have ABP installed.
Funny how no one's mentioned my odd orientation of the Firefox toolbars!

Re: Button icons missing in public forum...
I noticed, I thought it was a cool and creative way to do it. I figure to each their own. I have my own weird setup and its efficient for me and that's all that matters right?
Ok, now back to the issue at hand, so no collapse and no abp, ok now I am totally lost as to why you are having the issues, maybe a regression issue, have you tried the latest dev build? I know Giorgio improved some small tweaks and it might solve your problem. In the meantime I am hoping for a lifeline from Giorgio to see what's going on.
