Configurable whitelist downloads

Post by dbh369 »

I run into this over and over: go to a new website and things don't display correctly. Pull up the list of scripts that are blocked, and 1) either select a few and allow (time consuming, often generates new sites to validate) or 2) allow all to save time. A-priori, I rarely have knowledge of the sites I'm allowing that aren't the site of origin. What I would like a a configurable, downloadable white list. Go to a website, check a few boxes (such as allow known ad sites, allow add tracking, etc) and get a whitelist configured and installed that pre-allowed a bunch of sites that were generally harmless. The nice thing would be that 1) bad behavior could remove you from the list and 2) new sites could be added to the list by following certain rules of engagement. This would save a lot of time in tracking down and understanding a lot of secondary sites on sites of interest I'm looking at, at least potentially.
