[RESOLVED] FaceBook Mafia Wars issue

Post by dbjock »

I play Mafia Wars on Facebook and recently I have discovered that when running FireFox 3.16.13 and attempting to open Mafia War requestes into another tab, another users response into another tab, or press the button to accept gifts from Mafia Wars (all with in Facebook and not mafia wars) the tab or button will not work. Has anyone else experiance this?

BTW: I have been using FaceBook/Mafia Wars with NoScript for sometime now and at least for the past 3 months I have not been required to change any of NoScript's filtering.

Also did some testing with a fresh install of FireFox and NoScript and same issue. In this config I did fully trust Facebook.com and fbcdn.net, so NoScript alerts would go away and the same issue occured.

Open to any suggestions out there to this problem.

Could you check whether the problem persists in latest development build?

I'm not the original poster, but the latest development build did fix this problem for me.

Thank you!!

using facebook and apps, did resolve the ability to publish issue with the new version but when clicking to go to another app page (mousehunt in this instance) getting the message that it cannot load the page. Just disabled noscript and am running in a sandbox. Never had this problem before the last update (prior to getting the dev.build one) and would like to not have it now. :)

Probably unrelated.
Do you get any NoScript-related message in Tools|Error Console?

I'm not sure this is resolved. I have the problem on several of the Zynga games on Facebook unless I disable XSS.

And you're actually using 2.0.9.3?
If so, could you show me some of the [NoScript XSS] messages you get in Tools|Error Console?
Thank you.

I'm having the same problem with another Facbook app, Farmtown. I can't publish work orders. This started with the latest upgrade and I've run into other people at Farmtown who are having the same issue. I do have the latest version of Firefox. HELP!!! I don't feel comfortable disabling XSS.

Again, this should be fixed in latest development build. Could you confirm?
