Is there a way in FireFox 3 to detect whether or not the user has the Flashgot extension already installed (preferably using javascript)?
I would like to use Flashgot in a feature of an application we are developing, where if the user chooses to download a lot of files they can use Flashgot to do this. But i have a requirement that if the user already has Flashgot installed I should not present to them the instructions for downloading/installing this FF extension.
