[RESOLVED] ABE Block with IP Camera Tool

Post by giw1965 »

When connecting to IP Camera (10.0.0.8) via the IP Camera software, it initiates a web page that I then can manage it from. However ABE blocks the page with "Request {GET http://10.0.0.8/login.htm <<<about:blank, about:blank -7} filtered by ABE: <LOCAL> Deny
I have had several goes at writing a rule but to no avail the same message comes up. If I disable ABE it all works fine.

Can some one give me some advice here please.

Thanks In advance.

First, this just shouldn't happen.
It's very likely a known Fx 4.0b7 bug which should be already fixed in beta 8.

That said, you can work-around by inserting the following rule in the beginning of the SYSTEM ruleset:

Code: Select all

Site 10.0.0.8
Accept from about:blank
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 Firefox/3.6.13

Many Thanks Giorgio, that has worked.
Of course every rule variant I tried didn't have the about:blank I was just using the IP in the ACCEPT so I learnt something new.
Again thanks for your help.
