Hi,
this question should probably be added to the FAQ because when I tried to search this forum I could only get: "The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: install latest version".
Anyways, I've installed NS from https://addons.mozilla.org/ like all other extensions I use. Now when I go to Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions I can see NS version 2.0.7 while on http://noscript.net/ I can download version 2.0.8.1. If I press the "Find Updates" button I get "No updates were found". So my question is: how can I set it up so that pressing "Find Updates" would install me version 2.0.8.1? And just out of curiosity: why addons.mozilla.com and noscript.net have different ideas about what is the latest NS version?
Thanks.

You can't. Here are a couple of workarounds.dixon wrote:how can I set it up so that pressing "Find Updates" would install me version 2.0.8.1?
- Download a development version from the Beta Channel on the AMO page or http://noscript.net/getit#devel. This will give you timely updates to the most current version. Don't be misled by the words "Beta" or "Development". The development version is always the best version of NoScript to use. The only downside for some people is that it gets updated more often.
- Subscribe to the RSS feed. http://noscript.net/feed
AMO needs to review the update before allowing it to update automatically. They haven't done that yet.And just out of curiosity: why addons.mozilla.com and noscript.net have different ideas about what is the latest NS version?
