FlashGot media doesn't work with multiple streams

Post by Guest »

I can use Ctrl+F7, "FlashGot Media", to download a media stream if it's the only stream on a page. If there is more than one stream on the page, then Ctrl+F7 does nothing. If I go to the menu, I might see "FlashGot Media(3)". Clicking on it also does nothing. Many pages have only one stream that I need, but may have other streams in ads. If so, I can't download anything.

Any ideas?

I'm using Firefox with Download Manager set to (Browswer Built In).

Here's one:

Sometimes it shows one media stream, sometimes more. If there's only one, then FlashGot Media will work. Refresh the page (Ctrl+F5), and see if you get more than one stream.

Thanks much!

I have the same issue. When I change change from say, 360p to 720p quality of a youtube video, thereby changing the file streamed, I am unable to download both versions. Only the initial stream will download, and as soon as second stream is available/noticed neither can be downloaded. Clicking on flashgot media produces no response. perhaps the download managers are being sent both download info for both streams in a manner they can't understand? Any help would be appreciated.

Checked here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siqo1X-gKTk

It starts as 360 by default (shown as a 10MB downloadable clip by FlashGot Media).
I changed it to 720, and the FlashGot Media menu shows 2 clips (10MB and 30MB).
Right-clicked the FlashGot Media icon, selected the 30MB (720) clip, and the download worked just fine.
Am I missing something?

As far as I can determine, if you are using Browser Built-In, & if the clip has not fully cached, the "download" will not start, showing no Progress, Unknown time, 0 bytes Transferred, & Not Started.

Sample longish clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NO6d4H6PsM

Initially it starts playback at 360p.
Media shows 263MB.
If you attempt to download that, nothing.

Change to 240p.
Media shows 91MB.
That clip will download.

All the while, the 360p is stuck, Not Started.

Got to assume this coincided with + Restored downloading media from cache on Gecko 2 and above in FlashGot 1.3.1?

Close the window in question, then the 360p starts its download.

Clear the cache, clear your cookies.

Toggle the setting of the Preference & replay the clip.

Defaults to 360p & the clip starts coming down immediately.
Switch to 240p.
Media then sees both streams.
240p stream will come down simultaneously.
