find out which script does what on a page

Hey folks! Love noscript, and since I have been using it for over a year now I only have one problem that I would like to find a solution for.

I want to know if there is a way for me to discover which address or script is being used for a specific object. For example I am at a site and as usual when I click the noscript button at the bottom of my firefox there is a whole list of scripts which are being blocked. However I want to enable the submit button on the site I am visiting without enabling all the other crap, or temporarily enabling all the ad and tracking crap. The site is us.playstation.com and I have permanently allowed this site, but on the page I am at the submit button doesn't work because it is from another script. So how can I find out which script is powering the submit button and enable JUST THAT one, or at least determine whether it is legit or safe?

Generally speaking, of the MANY scripts that any one page has, which noscript automatically blocks (love that), how I can I determine which script is doing what on the page and temporarily enable them according to my wishes?

I find JSView helps. Other than that I use trial and error in a test profile protected with Sandboxie.

However I want to enable the submit button on the site I am visiting without enabling all the other crap, or temporarily enabling all the ad and tracking crap.

I use the Adblock Plus extension with one of the recommended filter subscriptions to block that stuff. That's much easier than trying to do it with NoScript alone.
Either EasyList plus EasyPrivacy or
Fanboy Adblock plus Fanboy Stats should be sufficient.

I don't see a submit button on http://us.playstation.com/. What is the url of the page with the submit button?

thanks for the replies people. I use adblock plus of course! JSView looks interesting although no longer being developed. I will try it and see if it gives me what I'm looking for. Will update with results.

As far as I can tell, you only need to Allow playstation.com and scea.com. Do you want me to submit your personal details for you?

Yep that worked! but how did you know it was SCEA (assuming you found out without a trial and error approach)? and what is SCEA, how do I know if its untrusted without a google search? or don't I lol

I middle-clicked scea.com on the NoScript menu, which brought up a page with links to WOT, etc. The WOT site says

The official site of PlayStation® with news and info for PS3™, PS2™, PSP® & PSP® go game consoles, PlayStation® Move, PlayStation® Network (PSN) & games you love.

So you should probably always Allow that.

WOT also indicates that google-analytics.com and omtrdc.net just gather browsing statistics, i.e. tracking. Another tool I use is the Adblock Plus Blockable Items pane. It shows that everything from omtrdc.net is blocked by the Fanboy Stats list. You should never need to Allow omtrdc.net for any site. Mark it as Untrusted if you never want to see it again.

oh wow, I never knew about the middle click in the noscript menu. I use WOT of course, but I didn't know they played so nicely with noscript. That has been an enormous help, and should help me to sleuth out any dodgy submit buttons in the future.
