Enhancement Request - Blocking eTags

Post by PeterL777 »

Hi
Does NoScript currently block eTags?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_ETag# ... sing_ETags
If not, would NoScript be the appropriate tool to block them? (I'm guessing/hoping it would be).
I would like to see this added as a feature.
Thanks
Peter

Nope, but interesting pointer, thank you.

Actually not, I'd better see this feature in a cookie-management (e.g. Cookie Safe) or a privacy enhancer (e.g. Better Privacy) extension.

Alternatively, I could envision an extension which checks cookie settings for a certain site and automatically disables any alternate tracking mean if user have cookie disabled there (this way it could work as an enhancer for your favorite cookie-management tool).
