Noscript makes FF connect to my outer IP address

I noticed at my proxy that noscript addon
makes FFox to make a GET call to my outer internet connection IP in the background.
It does not open a tab, but it makes call in the background.
This happens in the first start up of FFox.

I have the latest version 2.0.4
FFox 3.6.12

Since it happens only once and at every start of Firefox, then perhaps it is accurate to say that this is part of Noscript's get WAN IP function, which you can check out under options->advanced->abe. Noscript gets your wan ip to setup its ABE system rule, which prevents access to your LAN resources from the WAN (i.e. the Internet).
