Hi!
In order to protect myself from certain sniffers (and thus protect myself from session hijacking) i wanted to force HTTPS for some websites.
It happens that there is a bug :
http://www.facebook.com != http://facebook.com
http://www.twitter.com != http://twitter.com

Not sure what you mean by bug here.
If you want to enforce for a domain and its subdomain, use
.facebook.com
and
.twitter.com
