[RESOLVED] flashgot only about 13 KB of each rar file
[RESOLVED] flashgot only about 13 KB of each rar file
when i use flashgot to retrieve a group of rar files using in warezbb.org it only downloads 13.3 or 13.4 Kb for each rar file then it thinks is has successfully completed the download. Each of these file can be anywhere from 90 Mb to 250 Mb.

Re: flashgot only about 13 KB of each rar file
On what site are the links hosted, Rapidshare?
Do you have a Premium (Rapidshare) account or are you using Free?
Are you logged in on your Rapidshare account?
Are you blocking cookies?
If you open the "download" into your browser, does it give you any clues?
Can you post a few sample links that give you the 13KB downloads?

I logged back into premium rapidshare and now it appears to be working. Thank you very much.

@Guest:
it can happen for three reasons: either you're not logged in when you start the download, or your download manager doesn't support cookies, or the file is expired/removed.

Re: [RESOLVED] flashgot only about 13 KB of each rar file
I am having a bit of trouble with hotfile.com premium service + flashgot + orbit downloader. A recent update of something (i'm not sure if it was Firefox 3.5.2 or FlashGot 1.2 or Java 1.6.0_15 or perhaps something else) cleared my cookies so I had to relogin to some sites to get things going, rapidshare and hotfile being among them. I took the opportunity to change my hotfile credentials to something more meaningful to me (both username and password), and as a result the value of hotfile's "auth" cookie changed. And that's when my troubles started.
Now FlashGot Link does not work for me for hotfile links. What happens is that I get two "auth" hashes in Orbit's Browser Context Cookie field, the old one and a new one. I tried removing all cookies in Firefox and checking that the hotfile auth cookie has the correct value after loging back in. Everything seems ok but when I do FlashGot Link there's the old auth hash again. And the new one after it. It looks like "ip=xxx.xxx; auth=old_hash; auth=new_hash;". And it should be like "ip=xxx.xxx; auth=new_hash;". I'm not able to figure out if Firefox is at fault here or if FlashGot is caching cookies or perhaps Orbit is.
But the strange thing is it only happens with single links; FlashGot Link behaves like this as does selecting a single hotfile link and doing FlashGot Selection. But if I FlashGot Select multiple links everything works as expected (single auth cookie, the new one). To get a single hotfile link to download correctly I have to click it to invoke Firefox's "Opening" dialogue, select FlashGot [Orbit], and then it works as expected. When I check the cookie in Orbit after clicking a single link like that, its format seems a little bit different: no space after the semicolon and no semicolon at the end.
Sorry for the long post. I hope you can point me in the right direction if I'm doing something wrong. If not, consither this a bug report
Regards

My problem is [RESOLVED] after reading this post of yours. I guess you do the same thing to pass cookies to Orbit. Cleared Internet Explorer cache and everything is fine now.

NEED HELP
Hey I just came across this problem I use to have rapidshare premium and I use to use flashgot and it would sent it to Flashget to download, no problems what so ever. Now since I switched over to Hotfile I do the same and on many occasions I use flashgot to send it to Flashget and for example I would sent a lot of files like 23 it would download like 7 and then the rest would download as 12.90KB, I thinking it's done but in reality it's not. I never had this problem can you help me out guys?

Re: NEED HELP
This could be 2 things: either the link has expired (e.g. you didn0t set the "remember me" login option) or the file has been deleted.ayz wrote: the rest would download as 12.90KB
You can learn more by renaming the file as "download.html" and opening it in your browser, looking for error messages.

Re: NEED HELP
How do I go about with this download.html if you can explain it to me thanks. (By the way the files aren't deleted and it's saved in the login in both firefox and ie)

Re: NEED HELP
Just locate the rar file in question, right click it, select "Rename", rename it with a ".html" file extension, then drag & drop it onto the browser window to see which error message, if any, it contains.ayz wrote:How do I go about with this download.html if you can explain it to me thanks.
