I tried to access the picnik.com photo editing site using Firefox 3.6.10 and the latest NoScript, and nothing displays. I enabled all the sites showing under the NoScript options, but it did not help. Looking at the page's source code, it appears they are generating URLs on the fly using Javascript. Is this an issue with NoScript?
Thanks,
JohnD

Re: Picnik Photo Editing Site Not Displaying
It works just fine for me as soon as I allow "picnik.com".
Please try using NoScript Options|Reset, then allowing the aforementioned site.

Could be more then just that, depending on your settings.
Had to Allow Blocked Objects -> shockwave-flash@http://www.picnik.com/ too, otherwise the page just "appears" blank.

Re: Picnik Photo Editing Site Not Displaying
I did the "Reset" and enable, but that did not work. I have to allow everything on the page to get it to work, otherwise as mentioned above, the page shows up blank. Here is the initial list of links that show up on the page when nothing is enabled:
http://www.picnik.com/cdn
http://www.picnik.com/picnik.com
http://www.picnik.com/text/javascript
http://www.picnik.com/picnikstate?cb=OnPicnikState
http://www.picnik.com/js/webutil.js
http:///
http://www.picnik.com/import/?
http://www.picnik.com/appclean
http://www.picnik.com/home
http://www.picnik.com/static/
http://www.picnik.com/noaccess
http://www.picnik.com/.html
http://www.picnik.com/soint2
http://www.picnik.com/defaultlocale
I am thinking the "http:///" is the problem. This does not appear in the list of allowable sites and I would guess for good reason because that would most likely allow everything.

Re: Picnik Photo Editing Site Not Displaying
That is normal.
What you are seeing is: 3.17 Q: Some pages display the little NoScript icon with one or more links on its left side. I thought this could be disabled by unchecking "Show placeholder", but it's still shown... How do I make it go away?
Once you Allow picnik.com, the page should work.
If not then you would then need to Allow: shockwave-flash@http://www.picnik.com/.
But guess what! It is not working at all for me today.
(Very likely a <Trunk> browser issue as <due to a Mozilla bug> Adblock Plus is known to bust particular Flash sites, & this must be one where it is happening.)

It works for me if I click Reset and then Allow picnik.com.johnpd wrote:I did the "Reset" and enable, but that did not work.
I'm using the current version, NoScript 2.0.3.5 and Fx 3.6.10.

Both ABP or NoScript cause the site not to work with a current Trunk. But guess what! It is not working at all for me today.

After having done a Reset, all that should be needed is to Allow picnik.com.
If that is not working, then you may have a conflict or some sort of corruption?
As a test, try a a new, clean Profile, with only NoScript installed.

Re: Picnik Photo Editing Site Not Displaying
I found the problem. It was Flashblock. Once I put picnik.com in the Flashblock Whitelist, it worked. Thanks for your assistance.
