Hi my good forum friends,

It was I that did the posting on the avast's forums here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic= ... #msg543185
, and if Logos had searched these forums he could have found part of the answers here: http://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5090
According to me the best policy is to cleanse the browser thoroughly at close down with an extension like Click&Clean https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... nd%20clean
to get rid of this resurrectable persistent "ever"cookie, and no trace is to be found next time the browser is restarted...
to be sure test here: http://samy.pl/evercookie

lol problem is that I posted it before you did on Avast forums, so I guess you should have done the search in the first place before starting a new thread there
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=64210.0

..could also be that you saw my thread after all, and preferred to get "some inspiration" from it and start you own

as to your answers (?) >>> as already mentioned on my avast thread, that's pseudo-expert bs.

off topic: for the others here, read this: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=64480.0

interesting thread here:

bleachbeat might have the solution, to be verified:
http://bleachbit.sourceforge.net/

see the beta version here that takes care of evercookies:

okay, I just gave it a shot with CCleaner (latest 2.36) >>> running CC when the browser is closed gets rid of everything, including the "evercookie" thing. At the opposite, only relying on FF4 self cleaning feature is not enough.

ps: I do not advise Click&clean ...I've used it on Chrome for a while and it was okay, and an update made it become bloatware and adware, including functions that have nothing to do with cleaning, i.e. calling Windows control panel items. Never tried it in Firefox, and never will.

Please explain where you see adware in Click&Clean? Why you're lying? Click&Clean is 100% adware FREE and they
don't use any third party ads.

Moreover, Click&Clean is featured by Google  https://chrome.google.com/extensions/list/featured/6

About "bloating", I don't see any bloating, advanced options don't interfere with basic functions as separated into individual menu.
For example Main and Tab menu:

Also, Click&Clean even don't use any content scripts, as often happens when using other extensions.

anyone ever tried to teach you that it wasn't nice to accuse people of lying, c&c is a piece of crap, period. Featured by Google means sponsored by Google while the extension devs are advertising Google, and may be even pay to be "featured". Click and clean is interfering with the system, I won't allow any extension to do that. Now the last time I had it installed it was clearly linking to external web sites advertising crap, and I won't install it again to prove you wrong, I don't have that much time to waste, period. In the mean time get educated.

ps: and someone remove his avatar, thanks.

edit: and btw this is no click and clean thread, or are you from their brilliant team?

I just wonder how do you "know" everything? Firstly, Does Google need to advertise itself? I think the answer is clear to all.
Secondly, featured by Google is NOT MEANS sponsored by Google, I don't know any extension authors who would pay
Google for this. Info is 100% reliable, unlike your scribble.
It is unclear, why are you misleading people with your own stupid interpretations? I advise you, if you do not know, please don't
bother to write any potentially misleading posts.

Again, Click&Clean is 100% adware FREE and they don't use any third party ads.
Moreover, in the last version they are include Anti-Malware scanner from
BitDefender labs, according to Logos it is also advertising?

Logos, I think my avatar is well suited to your posts.

And stop rude, are you always so rude? Judging by your stupid posts this is not surprising.

Again, Logos, if you do not know, please don't bother to write any potentially misleading posts.

Sorry people for little offtop, but I think we can't ignore misguided inferences.
