Hi: FlashGot 1.2.1.31, Win 7, Firefox 3.6.10. , Adobe FlashPlayer 10. I'm using Flashgot to capture two kinds of short (10 min) instructional videos. The first play directly in the tab they're activated from, and that works perfectly, saving as .mp4 files. The second opens and plays in it's own smaller window outside Firefox, and Flashgot appears to save these inconsistently. The site I'm downloading them from has videos from June 2009 to the present. Flashgot displays the 'FlashGot Media' right-click menu item, and saves, videos dated on or after 30th March 2010. However it doesn't show that menu item, or display, videos dated on or before 26th March 2010.
All these video windows have 'Created by Cantasia Studio 6' in the title bar. I did at one point get FlashGot to display 'FlashGot Media' and save some of the earlier dated videos, but I'm not sure what (if anything) I changed to achieve that. Initially FlashGot didn't work with the earlier videos, and I installed two or three other (and inferior) Flash capture programs, which I then de-installed. Is it possible that one of the other programs installed a codec that FlashGot then used to read and save the earlier dated files, and that when I de-installed them it could no longer read them? Or can you think of another explanation?
Thanks, Max

Re: Inconsistent operation with dedicated video windows
Sorry, it's a paid subscription site, you'd need the password and username to get to the page. If you pm me an email address I can attach the page code for a page which does capture and one that doesn't, if that's any help (pm system here doesn't appear to support attachments?)
Thanks, Max

A date range was mentioned here too: http://forums.informaction.com/viewtopi ... 044#p22044.

FlashGot cannot see RTMP.
And the last one - which you were able to download, I am not. (At least FlashGot Media cannot see RTMP.)
So maybe it depends on the server you happen to hit.
Or maybe they are in the process of changing everything from http to rtmp?
