Detecting and Downloading Videos on BBC Website

Post by GµårÐïåñ »

Giorgio, I know that currently FlashGot, after allowing the site in NoScript allowing the videos to "stream", will detect and send to the downloader the videos from the CNN website. However, I like the BBC UK website better and sometimes I come across a video that I really wish I could download, but FlashGot will not detect the media and allow for its download.

Would it be possible, if you could, to add the ability for FlashGot to detect the media on BBC as well as it does on CNN already. I have included a sample video link if you want to take a look: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/8061979.stm?ls Thank you in advance.

RTMP.
And FlashGot (Media) cannot see RTMP.

Code: Select all

(Further, this was a discussion about Porn, & not a display of Porn, so I have no interest in trying to capture it .)

No this is not porn, it was actually a discussion on how the porn content is now permeating the social portal of YouTube, but regardless I knew it was RTMP but I figured that as a stream it can still be detectable if someone clever like Giorgio does the coding. Its not impossible, just a matter of whether the possibility is appealing enough for Giorgio to code it ;)

The latest version of Net Transport will get it.
Didn't try any others, so you should be able to find something that will work for you.

Yes, thank you very much. I am aware of quite a bit of stuff that can do that, I was just hoping that we could have FlashGot do it as to make it more robust, complete and have to rely on other tools less, that's all. I am quite able to download just about anything I want, I guess I was hoping to include it in a tool that I already use as to make the need for another obsolete, that's all.

But I thank you greatly for taking the time and sharing it with me, I have bookmarked it as another tool that I can keep in my arsenal to use in the future, thank you.
