Google search button no response

NoScript updated to 2.0.1rc2 and the Google Search button (or hitting enter after typing search terms) stopped working again. After I removed NoScript then installed 2.0.1.rc1, the Google Search button (or enter) are working normally (with Google allowed in NoScript). Just to verify, I again updated to 2.0.1.rc2, and sure enough, the Google Search button was dead again.

The problem came back. Looks like it's related to Google's "query suggestion". It doesn't know when to stop...

This one's a puzzler all right. The difficulty is that, in some cases with some NS releases, Google works for a while then stops until Firefox is restarted. With other releases, Google just never works from the start. I had disabled the Query Suggestions option in Google and that seemed to help for a while, likewise deleting the Google NID cookie. Of the recent releases, NS 2.01 - 2.02rc4 wouldn't allow the Google search for me under any conditions. However, rc5 appears to be working (so far).

What's curious to me is that at work I have the Google search failure. At home, I use Firefox in an almost identical configuration as at work, but Google search works perfectly at home.

So far the latest development releases (I'm at 2.0.2rc7 as of today) have been "playing nice" with the Google search button.

2.02rc5 has just suddenly stopped working for me (or, rather, Google search has stopped once again) with no changes to my configuration . Very mysterious. At least it means that there is no reason not to install the most recent development release. Here's hoping for good things...
