GA surrogate problem on torrentleech.org

Post by asymmetric »

Hi!

I've got the latest (2.0.1) version of noscript and with 'forbid scripts globally' on.
Furthermore, I have set google.com as untrusted.

The problem is that the GA script surrogate doesn't work on torrentleech.org, i.e. the reCAPTCHA is not displayed.
In firebug i can see there are JS erros such as this:

Code: Select all

GS_googleAddAdSenseService("ca-pub-1765042858221475");
If i temporarily allow google.com, the page works fine.

what is the problem here?
should i trust google.com?

thanks!

Since reCAPTCHA is hosted on google.com, I'd say yes. Of course, you could also enable the placeholders for objects from untrusted sites, take google.com off the untrusted list or just set NoScript to not block <iframe>s.

The problem is not the surrogate, which works fine, but reCaptcha which has been bought by Google and requires google.com to work, on some sites at least.
