NoScript and Flash

Post by Greenhorn »

Hi,

I hope that I'm in the right Subforum.

I have Problems with Windows and Adobe's Flash on the Website from SCOTT.
For example this page: http://www.scott-sports.com/de_de/produ ... 750/215576. The 'Mouse over to zoom' doesn't work and some other issues. Try to select the Tabs down below (Technology, Specs, Geometry, etc.) and you will be pushed to the main page.
The crazy thing is, that this behaviour does NOT occur on my Linux system (Ubuntu) with FireFox and NoScript !
On Windoze I have to disable NoScript totally to get it working right.

Thanx for taking notice.

Regards
Greenhorn

p.s. Sorry for my bad english

No problem. It sounds fine to me.

I'm able to get the zoom feature, the 360 degree spin feature, and the tabs down below to work only if the following domains are allowed:
scott-sports.com (of course)
google.com
googleapis.com
scottassets.s3.amazonaws.com

Fx 3.6.6 on Windows XP SP3
Default theme. No other extensions.
NoScript 2.0rc2 with default settings

Does it work for you if you allow those domains, Greenhorn?

Hi Alan,

scott-sports.com is (of course) already allowed. Even googleapis.com. I'm not able (or too stupid) to allow explicitly scottassets.s3.amazonaws.com but amazonaws.com is also already allowed in my list, maybe that is the reason.
I've additionally allowed the domains google.com and google-analytics.com. Now it's working all fine except the 360° spin.
It displays only the "Close Button" of the popup.

EDIT:
Windows 7 64bit and the newest Shockwave Flash Player (10.1.51.64)

Thank you very much for your help, Alan !!! :)

Hm, it seems that it's not possible to attach something to the post, so I will put my exported list here in this post.
Hope it's not too spammy ...

All that bike spam! The horror!

Jokes aside, it's not too spammy, but making your whitelist public could make you more vulnerable to a targeted attack. Unlikely, I suppose, but I'd rather not see that much private, potentially exploitable information publicly posted in the forum. I don't know, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. It's better to PM that kind of stuff.

I grabbed a copy of your whitelist and will make it available to the developer Giorgio. I'll see if I can reproduce your problem in a configuration that uses the whitelist you provided.

I get this behavior too if I use your whitelist. I'll investigate further.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8
NoScript 2.0rc5

Edit: Same problem occurs using Fx 3.6.8 without any extensions at all. Apparently there's a problem with the site right now.

This also came in my mind, tonight ... Thanks for deleting the list. :)

Thank you very much for doing that, too. :)

That was my first thought as I noticed the weird behaviour with that site. Maybe they fumble on the site ...

Once more: Thank you very much for all.
