[RESOLVED] Flashgot invisible

Post by Helpseeker »

I use Flashgot with jdownloader in combination with Firefox on a Windows 7 machine.
This always worked fine until Flashgot kind of disappeared several weeks ago. I tried to reinstall Flashgot, no error messages, Flashgot appears in the list of add-ons. But it remains invisible. No sign of Flashgot in the menu bar of in the right click menu.
I can de-install Flashgot and turn Flashgot off, but I can not use the Options button in the add-on menu, the add-on menu then freezes and can only be closed by using alt-ctrl-del. Re-installing Flashgot with Firefox in safe mode gave no solution.
Can anyone please advise me how to get Flashgot working again?

Problem remains after installing Firefox 4b01.
In this version Options is called Preferences. FlashGot Preferences can not be opened and Firefox freezes. Still no sign of FlashGot except for an appearance in the add-ons list.

What other extensions are you using?
Could you try Standard Diagnostic?

Only Move Media Player 7
Running Firefox in safe mode gives no change.
No sScript has same issue: can not open preferences and add-on manager freezes.

Problem solved.
I had to do a complete clean installation of Firefox including deleting my bookmarks and personal stuf. After that everything works fine again.
Thanks.
