Cant download megaupload links with "Download selection"

Post by Haggen »

Hi, on previous versions flashgot had this AMAZING feeture that allowed you to select a bunch of megaupload links and simply select the option "Download selected" and that was it.

On newer versions this is not allowed anymore, you still can do it selecting rapidshare links, but no with megauploads.

Can you please check and consider it for the next release?

Thanks for this MUST HAVE addon.

New version of megaupload or FlashGot?
Could you show me (in PM, maybe?) a page where this happens?

It's still working fine for me.
Could you check whether "Direct downloads" is checked (as it should) in http://megaupload.com/?c=account ?
Otherwise, could you give me the address of a page whose links fail?

I have my "Direct downloads" activated on Megaupload, this works when you click on a link and automaticallt flashgot download it.

But, when you select a bunch of Megaupload links you cant download them... I will put it graphically.

1. First you have a bunch of Megaupload links you want to download all at once by selecting "Download Selected" (or whatever is the English translation for that option)

Image

2. Then you have all the "files" you wish to download, here we would have to see the actual premium link with the file name at the end of the url, but we still see the Megaupload Link.

Image

3. Then you select where you want to save it, you still see the Megaupload file code, not the file name. Even if you rename it, you download a blank tiny file.

4. I have checked my Megaupload settings and i do have the Direct Download option selected.

This "Download selected" feature is AMAZING for people like me that downloads a big stuff with lots of links. I hope you can add that.

It's working for me with Orbit Downloader. Could you try with this download manager?
Might it be a problem in latest FlashGET version?

Flashget
Ok, Flashget is not updated anymore.. the latest version is 1.9.6 i believe.. The "Download Selected" feauture DO NOT work on Flash Get 1.9.6

Orbit Downloader
I downloaded Orbit Downloader, and it works great!. The "Download Selected" feauture DOES work. the BAD thing is that Orbit sucks all my internet connection and leaves me 34 kbps for internet browsing. (Any configuration tip???)

Flashget accelerates my downloads to the maximum, and still letting me browsing decently.

IDM
What about this one? is it good? i liked Orbit because is very similar to flash get.

Any tips?

Hi! :D well I use JDownloader to download megaupload files and I never had a problem with it. If you want to try it, you can download JDownloader here.
Here is a tutorial to download files with this software, perhaps it´s useful. I hope you like my input!! ;)
Thanks, bye!

To do so, go to the tab “Settings” and select the option “Downloads and Connections”. There, you will be able to modify the location by clicking on “Select” (1).

Image

Once the previous step is completed, JDownloader requests you to enter a link or URL to know the location of the files you want to download. When you have it, you should copy it to the Clipboard.

Image

Immediately after the links have been copied, the “Link grabber” of JDownloader will be in charge if extracting them from the Clipboard and taking them to the program interface to check their availability on the Web (1). If the files are correct, you just have to click on the options “Add all links" To start processing them (2). If you want to remove them, click on “Clear list” (3).

Image

Now, the files are on the tab “Downloads”. There, you can organize them according to your priority (1) and start downloading them to your hard drive. You will have the possibility to pause or stop the transferences at all times (2).

Image

Once the files have been successfully downloaded, you will have the possibility to find them with a right click of the mouse on each of them. Select the option “Open directory” and you will be automatically directed to the location they were saved JDownloader.
