error after using speedyfox

hi guys,

after i used speedyfox (something to edfrag the firefox profile) i get an error msg on all sites.

"Download manager not properly installed"

i tried to uninstall/reinstall the flashgot app. but always the errormessage.

can someone help me please?

didnt know why i had to try out noscript.
however.. i did. same error when i´ll use flashgot.


btw, i found with google this posting on another board:

seems to be a very old problem (2006)

but i cant make a new profile on my firefox and loose all data (cannot use them)on the new one.
dammit :/

ok, i created a new profile and imported some data (cookies, passwords, ..)

but on this profile the errormsg is again there after installing the flashgot app (

i went back to the old profile now.

any other help? its so crazy. just because of using speedyfox. grrrr.

btw.. it is installed^^. i changed now to DownloadHelper. another add-on. *shame*

but i miss flashgot.

i really dont know what speedfox did to my firefox
everything else works.

Have you got FlashGot Options|Advanced|Automatic download manager detection unchecked, maybe?

No, just checked manually.

FlashGet is also detected at the first tab (in options) too.
