For the last month or so, the Noscript updates are not being installed properly. After starting up firefox, I am able to see the addons in the sidebar with Noscript showing updated, and a message asking me to restart Firefox to complete installation. Any number of restarts later, the situation is the same. Finally, I clicked cancel in the addons sidebar. I found that Noscript had disappeared from the status bar at the bottom. I reinstalled from the Mozilla site and this time the addon was installed properly.
I have been doing this procedure for the last 3-4 updates. If there is a solution, I would very much like to try it. Thanks.

Re: Noscript updates
that looks like an Add-Ons Manager corruption.

Also, if you've got Firefox extensions called " HP Smart Web Printing", "Skype", ".NET Framework Assistant" or "McAfee Site Advisor" please uninstall them: they're buggy and known to cause this problem.
