Help! Local file access is turned on

Ok, I needed to open a local file on my comp in Firefox. After some research on why it wasnt working, I found out Mozilla doesnt support this, but IE does. So I install IETab. Open my file, and NoScript blocks it like it should. I click TEMPORARILY allow file/// in NoScript, and theres my file.

So a couple more times of accessing the file, I accidentaly hit PERMANENTLY allow file///. Now, EVERY supported local file on my comp seems to be accessible in Firefox.
So, I reset NoScript permissions, make sure the Allow local file access is unchecked, and everything is still accessible.
Then I uninstall/reinstall NoScript, same thing.
Then I uninstall IETab, uninstall/reinstall NoScript, same thing.

I'm pretty sure NoScript had something to do with it, be because I had to click to temporarily allow each time I accessed a local file, then once I accidentally allowed permanent access in NoScript, everything became accessible.

Any ideas on what NoScript, or IETab, might have changed in my FF installation, and how to undo it, short of a fresh reinstall of FF?

If by "open" you mean load as a document, this is allowed by Firefox and not forbidden by any setting I know, so what you're experiencing is expected (and it's weird you couldn't open them before).

If you mean something else (e.g. linking local resources from a web page, e.g. as frames or images), reinstalling Firefox won't help, and I'm pretty sure this is not a remnant of NoScript's.
You maye want to examine your prefs.js file (which contains all your non-standard preferences) for anything which could be related with your "problem".
