google has recenetly announced a webfont system. http://googlecode.blogspot.com/2010/05/ ... -font.html .
the page http://code.google.com/webfonts should show samples of these fonts.
if i visit that page and 'allow' google.com and google-analytics.com then i still cant see the samples. if i 'allow scripts globally' then i can see them.
it seems that one has to go into the 'blocked objects' menu to enable the fonts. but this is quite hard to find.
i think this should be easier to find. maybe with a noscript box over the text (like with video/flash). or whitelisted by default (if that is safe)
i have no script 1.6.6.69, and firefox Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.3a4webm) Gecko/20100518 MozillaDeveloperPreview/3.7a4webm

By the way, the NoScript icon does not indicate that there's an object blocked. I had to open the NoScript menu to see that. A bug, me thinks, which I'll report separately in the Development forum.
