Whitelists

Post by nbetcher »

Hello,
I'm sure this is a common question, but I have been unable to find an answer I wanted. Is there a collection of NoScript whitelists out there? If so, where? If not, would someone like to share theirs' and maybe I can start a website to host said-files?

I realize that it's a 'risky' thing to do trusting other peoples' whitelists, but lets face it: the average user does NOT want to use NoScript in their web browser because of the 'annoying factor.' My roommate just got infected with a trojan, so I told him to use NoScript. He started to use it, but immediately stopped after it became a hassle to "surf" the web.

The way I see it, a theoretically insecure NoScript is better than no NoScript (ouch, double negative). :)
