NoScript bugs on Firefox Mobile/Maemo OS2008

Post by Klimt »

I'm running NoScript 1.9.9.57 in Firefox Mobile 1.0 on Maemo OS2008 (Diablo) with a Nokia N800. Works well, except the fact that it's impossible to see or access the "OK" or "Cancel" buttons that I imagine are at the bottom of the Options dialog. So, I can't make any real changes within the settings or add/remove sites from the whitelist. Is there a workaround?

I know Firefox Mobile is primarily aimed at Maemo Freemantle on the N900, but it works pretty well on the N800. :)

Any thoughts? Can anyone else reproduce this bug?

I'll be glad to file a NoScript bug report elsewhere, if there is a more official place for it. Let me know, Giorgio.

A drastic reorganization of NoScript's preferences explicitly aimed at the mobile version is already in my TODO list.

It will probably be just one selector, like
Security level:
  • Low (allow script globally, keep WebApp protection*)]
  • Medium (default, block scripts and embeddings on non-whitelisted sites + WebApp protection)
  • High (block scripts on non-whitelisted sites and embeddings everywhere + WebApp protection)
  • Custom (automatic synchronization with your Weave account)
* WebApp protection = Anti-XSS + ClearClick + ABE + STS + Cross-site type inclusion checks and so on

In the meanwhile, you can use your keyboard (either virtual or physical), hitting "Enter" of "OK" nad "Esc" for "Cancel".
