Hi,
I've got a security message when starting Firefox 3.5.7 with FlashGot Extension V1.2.0.6 installed.
It says that there is a security access problem with FlashGot.exe located into the user profile.
Then Firefox starts but FlashGot doesn't find any downloader program (like FlashGet).
Here is my FlashGot.log :

Re: Security message with FlashGot extension for Firefox
Can I see the exact message you get?
Does it persist if you temporarily disable your antivirus?

Re: Security message with FlashGot extension for Firefox
The message (popup) says :
Original version (french) :
Windows ne parvient pas à accéder au périphérique, au chemin d'accès ou au fichier spécifié. Vous ne disposez peut-être pas des autorisations appropriées pour avoir accès à l'élément.
My translation (english) :
Windows cannot access to the device, the path or the specified file. You may not have the appropriate authorizations to access to the element.
If I disable temporarily the antivirus autoprotection, the message is still there.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Security message with FlashGot extension for Firefox
Last time this happened it was Zone Alarm.
If you've got it, try opening its "Program Control" section and mark FlashGot.exe as trusted.

Re: Security message with FlashGot extension for Firefox
I've got it !!!
You had the good idea when talking about Zone Alarm.
The problem was NOT due to the trust level of FlashGot.exe but Firefox.exe itself.
Firefox was in Restricted mode (one green bar) and I changed it to Ask (blue question mark).
Et voilà !
