I'm noticing a significant delay when following a Google search link. I used to be able to type in a query, say, "test" and Google would display links, I could click on the link and instantly go to the page with NoScript blocking all active elements on the page (my limited understanding). Now, Google displays the links, I click on the link and wait ~ 7-8 secs for the page in question to then load. Disabling NoScript solves the issue. Google links work fine in IE and I've scanned and rescanned for virus/redirects/malware. Using the latest NoScript (1.9.9.50) and Firefox 3.6. NoScript is reset to default sites and permissions.
Here is a sample link on the 7-8 sec wait page: "http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=w ... 1b7d5vcd9d"
Is this a new XSS feature of NoScript? Is there a way to allow Google redirects or am I barking up the wrong tree? Again, this is a recent issue since the last several NoScript updates.

Re: Google redirection and NoScript
I'm not seeing this kind of behavior on five or six different links I clicked on from the Google "test" results page. Load times from click to "Done" are about the same with or without NoScript installed. I've got two separate test profiles that I'm comparing side by side, one after the other, timed with a stop watch.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6
Default theme
NoScript test profile
NoScript 1.9.9.51 with default sites and options
No other extensions installed.
Other test profile
No extensions installed.
Sounds like you may have a conflict with another extension or security suite.

Re: Google redirection and NoScript
Alan,
I think I spoke to soon. I've re-imaged my machine (other things needed refreshing as well) and Firefox with only NoScript installed appears to be working fine.

No problem, pandapanda. Thank you for letting us know. I'm glad to hear your re-imaging was helpful.

Re: [RESOLVED] Google redirection and NoScript
I'm seeing exactly the same thing. If I copy and past the url from a google search, it comes up immediately, but if I click on the link I either get a noscript error page with a couple of URLs (nlevitra.com/..., ip address/..., etc.) or nothing and then a pause of ~10 seconds before the page I want comes up. Sometimes I get a completely bogus ad page but if I go back and click again, the page I want comes up immediately.

Most likely the site linked to in your search or its' hosting company are infected.
Search result hijacked and redirected - Direct to Malware site.
Is infected my site or my hosting provider?
What search terms were you using?
