NoScript does not allow RoboForm Bookmarklet to work.
NoScript does not allow RoboForm Bookmarklet to work.
NoScript (the fresh NoScript 1.9.9.11) does not allow RoboForm Bookmarklet to work.
The bookmarklet page is here: https://online.roboform.com/bookmarklet
When I click the Bookmarklet, the text in the Fx Status Bar says
Connected / Waiting / Transferring from online.roboform.com / Done,
with no result. And no notification sound of blocked script.
Interesting, this happens even at the very https://online.roboform.com/bookmarklet page.
Of course, "roboform.com" is already in my NoScript whitelist.
And I also have unchecked both the checkboxes related to XSS protection. This all does not help.
One more thing. When I select "Allow Scripts Globally", the Bookmarklet works ok.
When I then select "Forbid Scripts Globally", I still can invoke the Bookmarklet on the loaded page, then close it, then invoke it again, etc.
But after I refresh the page, the Bookmarklet can be no longer invoked.
Can you, please, investigate and provide a fix?

(Bump. I locked the other thread.)
Appears that when you run the bookmarklet, roboform injects itself into the webpage?
Or something? Maybe not into the page itself, but somewhere? DOM?

Re: NoScript does not allow RoboForm Bookmarklet to work.
I reported this problem to Roboform who posted the information based on my data dump.
Should the person working on this problem need me to provide more information or to test a work-round I would be prepared to do so.
Roboform is very important to those who have used it on Windows and the absence of as good a password program (I know I have tried) for other platforms is a barrier to people who wish to move away from MS. The Bookmarklet beta program should therefore in my view be given a higher priority as it does not work while NoScript is functional, it is disappointing that no comment as to how important this problem is felt to be has appeared in the thread.
NoScript is also necessary for Firefox users so I hope that a solution can be found.

As far as I can tell, good & sufficient information was provided by the OP.
Just have to wait till someone with a clue can figure out why what happens does as it does.

Re: NoScript does not allow RoboForm Bookmarklet to work.
I tried with NoScript (the fresh NoScript 1.9.9.15) and things seemed to change a little bit with this version.
- If roboform.com is on the whilte list, the bookmarklet works fine at the very https://online.roboform.com/bookmarklet page.
- But the bookmarklet is still blocked on the other site than roboform.com
I suddenly noticed that this is really reasonable behaivior as NoScript blocks scripts based on the site you are opening. What NoScript is checking is the site you are opening. So when the site you are opening is NOT roboform.com, NoScript doesn't allow to execute a script, which is either on the site or the bookmarklet. It seems really challenging to make them work together without spoiling both functionalities. Does anyone have a breakthrough idea?

if NoScript can detect it is a bookmarklet not the script on a site, the problem seems to be fixed. am I right?

Re: NoScript does not allow RoboForm Bookmarklet to work.
Yes. The seems the fresh NoScript 1.9.9.15 includes a fix:
- RoboForm Bookmarklet works on allowed sites,
- RoboForm Bookmarklet does not work on the sites that are not allowed.
This is the expected behaviour, is OK for me.
Thank you for the fix!

This is to confirm that with the latest version 1.9.9.15 the Roboform Bookmarklet now works.
Many thanks for resolving the problem.

Re: NoScript does not allow RoboForm Bookmarklet to work.
I'm using the latest version of NoScript (1.9.9.39) and the RF Bookmarklet is indeed NOT working. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. Just installed 1.9.9.44 but this did not fix the problem.

Could you define "the same problem"?Guest wrote:I have the same problem. Just installed 1.9.9.44 but this did not fix the problem.
Are both roboform.com and the site you're using the bookmarklet on allowed?

Re: NoScript does not allow RoboForm Bookmarklet to work.
my problem is when I select the site I want to log into from my Roboform list, Firefox opens the web site but Roboform cannot enter my logon credentials.

Re: NoScript does not allow RoboForm Bookmarklet to work.
Are we talking about the bookmarklet or the Roboform extension?Guest wrote:my problem is when I select the site I want to log into from my Roboform list, Firefox opens the web site but Roboform cannot enter my logon credentials.
Does disabling NoScript actually help?

Re: NoScript does not allow RoboForm Bookmarklet to work.
I may have an unrelated problem. I removed NoScript but the problem with Roboform not filling in the UID and PSW remains. will investigate as a roboform problem. thanks
