Flashgot doesn't work with Firefox's download Manager.

Okay, I updated to the newest Flashgot version 1.2.1.08 from 1.2.1.07 and now Flashgot will no longer select links and automatically download them as it used to. All that happens when I right click and select "browser (Built-in) is a little green bar on the right hand corner saying "Flashgot" but nothing downloads.

WOW. Okay, here's the strange thing. I went ahead and manually removed Flashgot from Firefox and then re-installed it from the website. After that it started working fine downloading such things as a Demo from gamershell, some drivers from RCA website. But the funny part was I wasn't able to get it to work with File-Hosting services such as rapidshare and megaupload. I just got the little green bar on the corner again. All these file hosting site just use normall HTTP links right? The funny part is with the older version of Flashgot they worked fine. Strange.

No, they act as "normal HTTP links" only if you've got a premium account on the filehosting service (e.g. "Rapidshare Premium") and you enable their "direct links" option in your profile preference panel.
Otherwise they redirect you to an HTML page with an obnoxious counter and FlashGot can't do anything about that.

Yeah, I have premium in Rapidshare, megaupload, and hotfile. As I said it works fine with the old version of Flashgot, in fact for megaupload I have a way of generating the links without having to go through their website.

Here's an example: http://www793.megaupload.com/files/0a41 ... D4C4D].mkv

All I would have to do is right click on the link and select "Browser (built-in)" from the context menu and it would immediately start to download. But not with the new version.

Actually if I try to download http://www793.megaupload.com/files/b5e4 ... C4D%5D.mkv I get a very long request (infinite? I'm still waiting for it to timeout) without a response, which is consistent with the FlashGot behavior you observe in latest version.
The difference with previous versions is that now FlashGot tries to "sniff" redirections on unkown filename extensions (I should add "mkv" to the known ones, though), therefore it gets trapped in the infinite request before the download actually starts and you get the broken progress bar.

FlashGot 1.2.1.09 fixes this issue.
You can (should) revert to the previous about:config setting (switch back flashgot.dmsopts._Built_In_.noRedir to false).
