Flashgot and netflix - multiple files?

I am trying to use flashgot with my netflix account with the "watch now!/instantly feature". The reason being that I cannot watch it in Linux through the web browser, so I am trying to save the show locally and reboot to Linux.

However, when I tried it with a show just now, flashgot downloaded multiple .wmv files and I can't seem to get any of them to play.

1.Why does it download 10 or so files for one show?
2.What format are they, even though they say .wmv? Should mplayer be able to play them?
