.local eTLD Landed, (& not that I know what it means ;-))

In case this should have any bearing on NoScript, Bug 513834 - eTLD update for .local


(And this may be dated? nsIEffectiveTLDService)

NoScript uses nsIEffectiveTLDService to handle domain suffixes, and the bug fixes nsIEffectiveTLDService's data, therefore NoScript shouldn't be affected.

Except under pre-1.9 Gecko, AFAIK.

Yes, on gecko 1.8.x and below it emulates it, but the emulation component is fed with the same data.
