[RESOLVED] WhiteListing Washington Post Comments

Post by SeaCanary »

Please help me figure out how to specifically Whitelist the "Comments" section -- and only the "Comments" section -- in an online Washington Post article.

The specific article I'm looking at is Woman fatally hit by car in Arlington. Here's what I tried:
  • I brought up the article and granted temporary access to the sites specified by the NoScript Options button. No good.
  • I granted temporary access to the entire page and right-clicked on the View All hyperlink. I then put a subset in the whitelist, specifically

    Code: Select all

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article
NoScript wouldn't accept anything beyond ".com" and that didn't work.
  • I brought the page up in Google Chrome, right-clicked the "COMMENT" header in the article, selected Inspect Element from the pop-up menu and copied the following into the WhiteList

    Code: Select all

    http://media.washingtonpost.com
    No joy.
What am I missing? Any help as to what to try next what be appreciated.

Hi, SeaCanary. You have to Allow or Temporarily Allow washingtonpost.com. Anything more restrictive than that doesn't work. But you don't have to Allow anything else. For what it's worth, I permanently whitelisted washingtonpost.com a long time ago to avoid having to remember this quirk on its site.

Thank you very much, Alan. I didn't think of going at it from that direction.
