Google search result triggers ABE

Post by NoScript.user »

NoScript 1.9.9.14

Clicking on a link at Google search results triggers ABE (default rules).

Steps to produce:

Search for Download Manager using google.com (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=do ... tnG=Search)
Click on 3rd result "Best Download Manager - FlashGet"

ABE is trigerred with the message:

[ABE] <LOCAL> Deny on {GET http://www.flashget.com/en/download.htm <<< http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=do ... tnG=Search, http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=do ... tnG=Search}
SYSTEM rule:
Site LOCAL
Accept from LOCAL
Deny

Cicking on "Cached" displays the cached copy but logs lots of errors similar to above in error console

To add, if the search is done for FlashGet, and the first result is clicked, the same thing happens

Looks like "flashget.com" points to a site in your LAN.
Could you try "ping flashgot.com" from a command prompt and check the IP it returns to you?

No dice, it's the same for me and I've got no issue.
BTW, I should have asked to ping www.flashget.com, which resolves to 66.90.101.33 (http://www.flashget.com.showq.net) for me (still no issue).

OK. The same here but I don't seem to be able to click any link pointing there w/o triggering ABE. Typing the address into address bar works fine.

Have you got an add-on from FlashGet installed?

No. The intention was to have something outside Firefox. No big problem as I downloaded it from a download site (and promptly uninstalled. the thing opened a dozen connections to various places before even there is a download :(
