Safeway Food Store Weekly Ad

Don't know if this is a NoScript issue or not, but it sure is frustrating - cause I is hungry!

URL: http://www.safeway.com/
Left hand side, Weekly Specials
Enter '21228' for the zip code
This page loads: http://www.safeway.com/IFL/Grocery/WS-Store-Results
Allow safeway.com
Allow imrworld.com
Refresh the page
A placeholder appears
Allow where2getit.com
Placeholder disappears
Refresh page
Placeholder appears
Click placeholder
A "No locations" dialog comes up, close it
In the "Find another store" block, type in '21228'
Store 1, Baltimore National Pike, click View Specials

ABE kicks in. Note the localhost - for whatever reason?:

Code: Select all

[ABE] <LOCAL> Deny on {GET http://localhost/IFL/Grocery/ViewSpecials?contentURL=http://safeway.inserts2online.com/storeReview.jsp?drpStoreID=1469&showFlash=false <<< http://hosted.where2getit.com/safeway/weekly720.html?form=locator_search&search=Go&addressline=hostname=www.safeway.com&banner=safeway&env=www, http://hosted.where2getit.com/safeway/weekly720.html?form=locator_search&search=Go&addressline=hostname=www.safeway.com&banner=safeway&env=www}
SYSTEM rule:
Site LOCAL
Accept from LOCAL
Deny
Whew!

(Depending on whether FRAMES are blocked, & Apply to trusted is checked, one or more of the intervening steps may or may not appear.)

A site bug apparently (no reason to send a localhost request), which is rightly caught by ABE (again, no internet site should request for localhost).
You may want to block http://localhost/IFL/* in ABP.

Speaking of AdblockPlus, should .../localhost/... have shown as a blockable item?

It did not.
Manually adding it (assuming I did it correctly) made no difference with what I was seeing.

Sorry, I can't reproduce.
No ABE for me. I did not get the "No locations" dialog either, just a 3 pages result directly.

Did you then click, "View Specials"?

Yes I did. I got a "Please wait", then 4 pages of specials for the first result.

I am not seeing a problem either, given the localhost that you are seeing, is there a possibility that you have a coupon or viewer software installed that interacts with it? For example like the coupons.com printer app that is required to interact with the online coupons and print them, you have something like that? If so that would explain the localhost call (maybe its running a self contained mini webserver, like FlashGot) which processes the information locally for printing or whatever. Just saying.

Might be worth giving a try to the weekly ad at newfoodcenter.com/store/Safeway if you are still having issues.
