Thunderbird RSS: This page requires the use of scripts

Post by jan@familie-meijer.nl »

I use Noscript on Firefox 3.5. I also use Thunderbird 2.0. When displaying a Microsoft feed, I receive the message
"This page requires the use of scripts, which your browser does not currently allow." in stead of the expected feed content.

I am not able to tell what causes this, but it looks like a NoScript issue to me. When copying the URL and entering it in the Address field of my browser, the page shows normally.

Any suggestions?

Do you mean you get that message in Thunderbird?
NoScript does not interfere with Thunderbird, but Thunderbird has Javascript disabled by default for security reasons.
On the other hand, requiring Javascript in a RSS feed is quite idiotic. Microsoft, you said, right?
