Noscript won't install

Post by Andy »

Running xp64, FF 3.5.3 fresh install of both. ( not to imply that I am a first-time user of either :) )

Firefox simply refuses to install this and suggest looking at the error console, I'll include a sample of the many many lines:

Warning: Error in parsing value for 'padding-right'. Declaration dropped.
Source File: https://addons.mozilla.org/css/amo2009/ ... .css?52492
Line: 1

Warning: Error in parsing value for 'filter'. Declaration dropped.
Source File: https://addons.mozilla.org/css/amo2009/ ... .css?52492
Line: 1

Do the above lines give anybody a clue, I'm sure it's not Noscript causing the problem but any info will be appreciated.

Hi, Andy. Those particular warnings are innocuous CSS messages which appear even when nothing is wrong. They can be ignored safely. It's hard to give you more specific help without more information. Disregarding the Error Console messages for now, what other messages are you getting from Firefox when you try to install NoScript?

Try this first. The extensions database may be corrupted. Exit Firefox, delete the files mentioned here in this linked article, restart Firefox. Uncorrupted versions of the files will be automatically regenerated. Corrupt_extension_files

Hope this helps. Please let us know whether it does.
