The issue is this: On my laptop (WinXP, SP3) with FF 3.5.3, Noscript resets every time I restart the browser. No matter what I add or remove from the whitelist, it's always loading the same old same on next startup. It's a bit annoying having to allow the same addresses over and over again for trusted sites.
Anyone know what may cause this? I ahve two other PCs (one XP, the other Vista) where this is
not happening.

NoScript's whitelist is saved with all the other browser preferences in the
prefs.js file, inside your
profile directory.
You should check if something (wrong permissions, a conflicting extesion...) is preventing preferences from being saved.

I have located one prefs.js file in my apps data folder. It's not write protected or anything.
There are a few other extensions installed, but those are also present on my other PCs that are working properly...

Please try NoScript Options|Reset , then change any NoScript preference and check if the change persists across browser restarts.

I find a reset button under the General tab, next to an Import/Export button. If this was the one you mentioned I see no difference.

Yes, it is that.
The question was, though, does any preference persist across restarts (whitelist aside)?
Oh, BTW, does disabling all the other extensions change anything?

I have tested this now - no settings seem to persist.
I have disabled all other extensions and still the same

Do Firefox normal settings persist?
Have you got proper permissions on your
profile directory and the
prefs.js file inside it?

Good point... It appears no Firefox settings are persisting (although I can bookmark pages)...
However, the prefs.js file is not write-protected, and teh folder does not appear ti be write-protected either.
Perhaps I should re-install FF...

No wonder, as bookmarks are saved in a separate database.
