Restore closed tabs breaks on trunk
Restore closed tabs breaks on trunk
The restore closed tabs on trunk builds, and been doing like that for a week or so.
If I have 10 tabs open and close all but one of them (with "Close other tabs"), only 3-4 (of 9) can be restored. I went back to version 1.9.8.8, and this problem still happens. Tried it with a profile with only NoScript installed and I get this problem so no incompatibility with other extensions. I believe this problem started with the trunk released last Thursday, the 17th.
Steps to reproduce:
New profile, latest trunk
Open Firefox and install NoScript, restart.
Load 10 pages in tabs, and use "close other tabs" on when right clicking on one of the tabs.
Checking "Recently Closed Tabs" should show 9 tabs, but only 4 or so will be listed.
Only tested on OS X Snow Leopard.

Not seeing an issue here:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20090923 Minefield/3.7a1pre
nor in SeaMonkey 2.
Is there a UI <menu item, other then context menu> for the unclose tabs is FF?
(Found it. Its under History. SeaMonkey numbers its tabs, but does not have a Restore All like FF.)
Is the max number of unclose tabs 9 or 10 or so?
URL: http://www.seamonkey-project.org/
Open each menu item (left side) in a tab.
Close all but one, either by closing tabs individually or by Close Other tabs.
Ctrl+T 9 or 10 (or so) times & all the tabs return (for me).

Can't reproduce, sorry.
NoScript 1.9.9.01

Could you check if it'ts fixed for you as well with latest NoScript and Minefield?

Re: Restore closed tabs breaks on trunk
Not fixed in latest version.
YouTube video demonstrating the problem, 100% clean profile, only bookmarked the open tabs. Build is the same this post (Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20090923 Minefield/3.7a1pre).

As you can see when I disable NoScript I can restore all tabs. Nothing shows up in the error console.

Weird, maybe an OS X-specific bug

(He had this issue too, http://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2675, though qwerty017 is reporting seeing that also & he's on Windows.)

Re: Restore closed tabs breaks on trunk
Can't reproduce yet:
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20090924 Minefield/3.7a1pre
I always get 10 items (the max).
This is Leopard (no snow yet available for me), though.
Have you got a different system where to try?
Do you get any error message in Tools|Error Console.

Re: Restore closed tabs breaks on trunk
Have you been able to test this on Snow Leopard yet?
I've been trying it on every new trunk build and it still happens. No error message is logged in the error console.
I see this happen on a clean profile with default settings with NoScript as the only extension installed as well as my regular profile with some 20 extensions installed.
I've played with a lot of different settings both for Firefox (such as disabling TM for Chrome) and NoScript but some tabs will always get lost when closing them.

Re: Restore closed tabs breaks on trunk
Sorry, I've got no Snow Leopard to test with.
Does this issue happen also if you disable NoScript and turn JavaScript off from Firefox's preferences?

Re: Restore closed tabs breaks on trunk
I've tried with JavaScript disabled in the preferences without any difference.
If I disable the NoScript extension I can restore all tabs I close (as seen in this YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KRfxdGailo).
I've tried all NoScript build compatible with Trunk post August 27th and I get the same error. I first noticed the problem with trunk builds starting September 17th. It appears as soon as NoScript is active it interferes with the session control for Firefox.

Re: Restore closed tabs breaks on trunk
I tried again with today's build and I noticed something odd.
As it appears "Open All in Tabs" is broken, I opened 10 tabs with Cmd+T and them wrote the address. When I closed the tabs, I could recover all of them!
However, If I open links in any other way (such as cmd-click) I won't be able to recover all tabs. It only seem to work in cmd-t opened tabs. Weird.
