This problem started a few days ago. On several sites where there is a blocked object (such as a flash player) the parent element will collapse. To get the site to render correctly the blocked object needs to be allowed.
Example: http://www.macrumors.com/ News Item "Microsoft's Prototype Multi-Touch Tablet/Booklet".
If the post is to be displayed motionbox.com needs to be allowed.
I see this happen on 1.9.8.86 and above on trunk builds for about a week or so on OS X Snow Leopard.
Also NoScript seem to be incompatible with Tab MIx Plus session control. If you close a tab too fast (or close multiple ones at the same time), not all of them can be restored. If NoScript is disabled the session control works without a problem.
Both of these problems happened around the same time.

Re: NoScript collapeses elements containing blocked objcets
I'm not clear, you did try the later development builds of NoScript? If not, start there, http://noscript.net/getit#devel.
Not seeing any problem (or I'm not sure what I should be looking at) at macrumors on my end (Windows).
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20090923 Minefield/3.7a1pre
(I assume you do not have Collapse blocked objects &/or No placeholder for objects coming from sites marked as untrusted enabled.)
Do you have macrumors Allowed?

Re: NoScript collapeses elements containing blocked objcets
I've tried latest dev builds, same problem. Collapse blocked objects is not checked.
Nothing shows up in the error console either.

Re: NoScript collapeses elements containing blocked objcets
I have macrumors.com allowed.
I've made a YouTube video of the problem here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfSzcGxP3Lk
First is with motionbox.com not allowed, then I put it on the white list and the post appears. After that I disable motionbox.com again and the post disappears.

(I only had to Allow macrumors. Not motionbox nor anything else.)

Re: NoScript collapeses elements containing blocked objcets
I think it has to do with you using 3.7a1 as I am seeing the same thing with the same browser. It doesn't happen in 3.5.3.

Reproduced and investigating (suspecting a trunk bug, though).
