[RESOLVED] noscript not working properly

Post by thasaint »

since the seconnd last update ( i have 1.9.1.6 now, and before hat 1.9.1.4 if i;m correct, and before that i don't remember) noscript does some strange things with blocked banners. my noscript also blocks flash, and it always worked correct, but now it keaps repeating the blocked banners.
did the update yesterday and the problems came, tried to update today, there was a new version, but the problems still excist.

see this link for a screenshot of what i mean

this is only 1 banner on that page.

What are the actual URLs, so I can try to reproduce your problem?
What other extensions or add-ons do you have?

Edit: I knew this sounded familiar. This is a known issue with Fx 2 and is fixed in the latest development build, 1.9.1.7.
Please go there and install this build. It will resolve the issue. Thank you.

(Quite a number of people running FF2 still. Well at least 3. Anyhow, more then I would have suspected.)

Whew, this is a relief, I just came in to find if there was anything about this terrible bug...

Personally, I'll never switch to that piece of garbage FF3 and its Microsoft-forced Awfulbar, by the way.

@therube: Make that four, and still counting... ;)
If you're actually interested, you can search MZ Fx threads and find a large number of objections to F3 and various aspects of it. This is one reason why I begged GM to keep NS F2-friendly for as long as possible. (MZ could probably tell you how many F2 still running by the number of update prompts, although eventually people probably just disable auto-up.) Cheers.
