13.6.19 will not install on firefox esr

13.6.19 from addons.mozilla.org will no install on firefox 140.10.2esr - there is only a brief flash of the permissions pop-up

WFM, 140.10.2esr, 13.6.19, Win10 (I believe).

As a test, create a new clean Profile.
Try to install NoScript.
Does it work?


So then, why is it not working in your existing Profile?
Might some other existing extension be blocking it?
If you disable all other existing extensions, will NoScript then install?

Never had any problems updating it so far.

Moving to NoScript Support - NoScript, like any other WebExtension, has no control over that popup, so this cannot be a NoScript bug.

I've seen things like this before related to focus of the Firefox window. Try clicking away from the Firefox window to unfocus it and then clicking back on the Firefox window to focus it again, does the popup then appear?

Also check Browser Console (Ctrl-Shift-J) when this issue happens, do you see any related messages?

The described behavior only occurs in a new, empty tab. Installation works in a loaded tab.
