Would a NS fork for Pale Moon / Seamonkey be officially listed/endorsed? (split from t=27201)

If someone would make a dedicated working fork of NoScript that would target Pale Moon, Seamonkey, etc... Would that fork be presented on the official page and be endorsed by the extension developer?

Split to a new topic - the one you posted in was only about whether latest NoScript Classic would work as-is in Pale Moon >= 33.x, not about any real or hypothetical NoScript fork.

Has this actually happened, or is it only hypothetical at this point?

Can't speak for Giorgio, so can't answer for sure one way or another. But just a heads-up, that is a very high bar. NoScript being part of Tor Browser means basic integrity and working correctly are not enough to establish trust. Anything officially endorsed by NoScript would have to clear the same trust bar as NoScript itself.

As Giorgio wrote in his blog, NoScript is

.

Seeing how vetting trust of/for other (not related to NoScript) projects is done in general, the required vetting is not just about highly scrutinizing the code, it can also get into things like vetting the developers as people and vetting the long-term ability of the project to continue to be developed in a trustworthy way.

With Giorgio being very busy, it's hard to imagine him finding time to do all this for a NoScript fork, but again I can't speak for him so who knows :|

If your goal is to bring your fork to the attention of the NoScript community, you can start a thread about it in either the Web Tech section or the Security section of this forum, as long as you make clear it's unofficial and not under Giorgio's or NoScript's umbrella.
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!
