Noticed the NoScript version in Mullvad Browser has changed from the stable releases to a x.x.x.1984 channel distributed via torproject.org? What channel is this?
If it's a Tor/Mullvad Browser specific modified version:
- What are the modifications compared to "stock" NoScript?
- Would it be unwise to replace this NoScript version with the standard latest development build in Mullvad Browser? Conversely, if the x.x.x.1984 NoScript were installed in normal Firefox, what would be different compared to using NoScript latest development build?
Also, do we (this forum) support the x.x.x.1984 NoScript channel to the same level as the stable release and dev build?
Thanks for insight.

Re: NoScript x.x.x.1984 versions?
x.x.x.1984 version = same as x.x.x AMO stable version
x.x.x.9zy01984 version = same as x.x.x.9zy self-hosted RC
The reason for these separate versions is bypassing the delay for AMO editorial review (especially for stable versions), improving integration with tor-browser-build (our Tor reproducible builds system) e.g. by providing GPG detached signatures, and removing 3rd party phoning home and point of failures on updates.
