I saw this text in the changelog for v11.5.x
What is the impact of this on people using Firefox on Android?
I actually use the fork of FF/android from F-droid called literally "Fennec". (I do realize that "Fennec" is the name of one of the mobile FF rendering engines.)

Sorry for the late answer, but as you've hopefully find by yourself that was very very old code applying to an old old version of Fennec.
