Site won't fully load unless NS disabled

Post by kukla »

Unsure when this started, but with current version, as well as 11.4.7, temporarily installed for testing purposes, unable to see Weekly Ad at

It is not working for me even with NoScript, uBlock Origin, and Firefox tracking protection disabled. Also does not work for me in new, clean Firefox profile with all defaults and no extensions installed.

Hmm, weird. Do you mean the entire site won't load, or just the Weekly Ad? Here, it's only the Weekly Ad.

EDIT: Perhaps I gave you a bad link. What if you go to shoprite.com, hit Weekly Ad, and when prompted insert zip code for any store you select?

Less important, wanted to show screenshot of loaded Weekly Ad, but doesn't appear to work, even with the proper URL inserted in the image tags. Preview just shows "Image"

It's only the weekly ad not loading for me. Not seeing a weekly ad on the link you posted. So also tried clicking "Weekly Ad" and other ways of getting to the weekly ad, but could only get a page saying only this:
Weekly Ad

When you click to open a circular image, you can now flip through the pages for an easier browsing experience. Use the zoom and navigation controls in the header to navigate, adjust the view, and explore the circular in detail. To return to the full view, simply click "Zoom Out". Click on any product image to add the item to your shopping list or cart.
That's it. There are no products or images listed on that page, there is no option to enter a zip code or anything.

Same.

It's not an image for me that URL also only goes to that same page again.

Thanks barbaz for going to so much trouble. Never expected this to become so complicated. If you still have any patience left for this, here are my steps to replicate - think it's necessary to enter a zip code and select a particular store (btw, if there is no solution to this issue, I can simply keep disabling NS when necessary - still have uBO, which offers ample protection):

- at shoprite.com --> Find a Store

- Not sure this matters, but If you happen to get 'You've selected pickup" change to "in Store"

- Next at "Enter City, State, or Zip code"

- Enter 11230

- Next, from stores listed, select the first shown, "Make my Store" "Shoprite of Brooklyn".

- Next, disable NS

- After disabling NS in Add-ons in a different tab, return to shoprite and reload

- Now hit "Weekly Ad"

Still get the same thing following those steps, even tried in a new, clean Firefox profile :|

Well, as I just said, I can live with it. Not something I do very often, so not really a big deal. Was just curious to see how or why NS might be involved.

Thanks again for your trouble.
